Moonrise Therapeutics offers a variety of equine assisted programs for prevention and intervention. We offer group and individual programming and are committed to equity in mental health. MRT is a group practice registered with Vermont Medicaid and Vermont Blue Cross Blue Shield.We also provide scholarships and a sliding scale for those in need.
Prevention & Intervention Group Programs
MoonRise works with community organizations, groups, schools, and more. Sessions are designed to meet specific mental health and wellness goals. Examples of our group programming include:
After-School Programs: For elementary to high school age students. Age-appropriate groups typically meet after-school in the fall and winter.
Veterans Programs: A collaboration with Vermont Adaptive. Groups of 6-8 people meet for either a full morning or afternoon session.
Frontline Workers & Caregivers: A new program in 2021 to allow groups of 6-8 attend a full or half-day workshop at MoonRise.
Adaptive Riding: PATH International certified instructors, offer adaptive riding classes and group work to children and adults with special and adaptive needs.
Clinical Group Programs
Moonrise offers clinical programming for students through high school and adults.
Support Groups: School age students up through high school support groups that typically focus on anxiety, stress, and depression.
Adult Trauma Groups: Adult support groups to address the trauma in one’s life.
Individual & Family Programs
MoonRise offers Individual and Family programs that are preventitive in nature with an element of clinical work embedded in the outcomes.
Family Days: A full or half-day session to be at MoonRise with your family. Together you will work on activities that will promote team work and communication while enjoying being with each other in a non-judgemental and welcoming environment.
Individual & Family Counseling: Typically more clinical in nature and usually 1-2 hour sessions.
