Over $10,000 raised for scholarships and horse herd care at Annual Fundraiser Dinner and Concert with Jay Nash & Josh Day.

An enormous thank you to all that supported the beautiful evening on the farm. Delicious food, thirst quenching drinks, an amazing concert and an exceptional auction led to the success! Chairs of the event, Mary Young-Breuleux and Dianne Hinaris, worked tirelessly to ensure a wonderful night was had by all. Ron Jaynes, the auctioneer did an extraordinary job and raised well over what we had predicted. Thank you to all of our auction donors, volunteers, and supporters. The evening was a clear indication of how a supportive group of people can make a huge difference. Thank you again to all involved.

The Contenders with Jay Nash and Josh Day

Together as Americana/folk rock band The Contenders, Jay Nash and Josh Day make the sort of music found in the intricate and varied tapestry that is real Americana—full of grit, with a steady heartbeat and a hint of honky-tonk—writing songs that speak of wanderers and highways, lovers and losers, good times and missed chances, all of it witha ferocity born of hard work and honed skill.Country Weekly said, “The duo’s sound paints a picture of open stretches of road as wellas lazy days at home—sonic comfort food constructed on a bed of groove and storytelling.”The Contenders’ raucous foundation of rhythm and harmony is based upon such simple things—glorious two-part vocal harmonies, a guitar and drums—and everything is built around these elements. Their melodies are written to accommodate harmony and the heartfelt lyrics are written to work with the percussive rhythm and it is all finding unmistakable resonance with audiences.
